Let me know if you would like more variations with a more elegant, upbeat or minimalist feel.

Below are a few of the classic basic tips..

Having the basics in your wardrobe is key to creating lots of variety in the clothes you wear. There are so many ways you can wear an outfit.

Jackets

Lets first look at the Summer wardrobe. Winter wardrobe coming soon

Light Jackets, A style essential for cooler nights
A few well chosen light jackets are a must have for those cooler evenings. When selecting the perfect piece, its important to consider what outfits will the jacket compliment and don’t forget the finishing touches , so you have jewelery that enchances the whole look.

Denim / Satin Skirts

Skirts come in a variety of lengths and styles – from mid legth to maxi and the great news is, there is something to suit every body shape.

For Pear shaped figures
Look for skirts that sit at your natural waist and flare out at the bottom. A-line or flared skirts help balance out your proportions and enchance you silouette beautifully.

For Hourglass figures
Choose skirts that hug your curves and hit right at the knee. This length helps to highlight your waist your waist and maintain a balanced shape, showing off your natural assets.

For Athletic or Straight figures
With a more boyish or athletic (like mine) you have the flexibility to play with many styles. Personally I love the maxi skirt and I like to wear it slightly below the waist. It adds a touch of elegance while creating gentle curves. But there are plenty of other great options to experiment with too!

For Taller Frames
A knee length skirt can be a great choice if you are tall. It breaks up the leg lline and can create the illusion of a slightly shorter frame, adding balance to your overall look.

Dresses

Maxi dresses suit most figure shapes, very much depending on the cut. For instance if you are curvy you will suit a more asymmetrical fit as this look compliments your curves and actually makes you look slimmer. For a slimmer figure a more symmetrical look is good although asymmetrical is also often complimentary.
If you are petite in height, I would suggest you go more for a midi length as a maxi dress can make you look smaller in height.

Shorts

There is nothing like a sunny day to bring out the shorts but finding the right pair can make all the difference between a confident look and a style misstep.
Lets be honest: shorts can be flattering until they are not. In many cases, a slightly longer length is far more flattering and versatile. That said your style should always come first. If longer shorts do not feel like you, don’t wear them.
Fit and fabric matter
Choose fabrics that feel good and move with your body. Pay attention not just to the front but to the back also.
Length is key and finding the most flattering length for your body and leg shape can take a little experimenting but its worth it. Try draping fabric over your leg at varying lengths and see what works the best. Sometimes just that small adjustment in length can completley transform your look.
