Fall/winter time is time to pack away your summer clothes and pile on the layers.. I actually love this period as it gives you a great opportunity to be more creative with your clothing. Layers make clothes look interesting, scarves, boots, jackets, waistcoats , shirts or maybe overlapping shirts.Whatever works for you! You can also wear a tie if you really want to creat that eclectic look. Lets take a look at a few key items. More to follow in my blog posts.

Jackets

The in between coat What is great about the in between coat is that its transeasonal and you can also take it into winter and layer it underneath or layer over the coat with an additional warmer coat. I am really loving some of the looks trending with some of my favourite brands at the moment.

Shoes / Boots

Choose your boots and shoes to suit the season balancing trend and comfort. Long boots look great with a maxi skirt or dress. They also look good with jeans. Chunkier boots give a more grungy look and look perfect with jeans and a sweater. Choose the shoe to suit the syle of the clothing you want to wear them with. This defines your whole look and can totally transfer you whole outfit.

Midi / Maxi Dresses

A maxi dress looks good on may figure shapes. Layer it with a jacket or long sleeve cardigan. Add a belt to create a different look. Throw on some boots and your looking good! Maxi skirts are so versatile in the same way too. More to come on this subject..

Classic Shirts

The classic quality white shirt is the ultimate foundation piece and the base of many outfits, Personally in my wardrobe I would have an oversized shirt, a fitted shirt and a shirt which makes a statement maybe with a little more detail. Long Sleeves and Jumpers

I love the versatility of thin sweaters and jumpers, for instance with a thin sweater you can layer it, wear a vest underneath to keep warm. Throw on a jacket and then finish it off with an oversized coat or a three quarter fake fur for instance. The looks are endless. Jumpers, depending on the number, sometimes you can wear a shirt underneath to create a different look or maybe wear a long thin sweater underneath a shorter jumper. Its all about creating character and its all fun at the same time.

Lingerie

You either love them or you hate them, personally I think they make the outfit and really finish off your outfit. Its important to wear with the right footwear that compliments. More tips on this to follow. Tights you can wear through autumn and winter and just increase the density when it gets a little cooler.
